Overview

As our Vice President of Consultancy Services, you will be a senior leader with extensive experience of health care needs and services, demonstrating an understanding of the vital role that digital and clinical systems play in driving healthcare business strategy and decision-making.

We are looking for a visionary leader who can guide our consultancy services such that we can help organisations safely transition clinical care and operational services between systems, maximising the benefits and minimising the risks. The postholder will have in depth knowledge of clinical systems, including enterprise-wide electronic patient record systems, enabling them to advise and deliver solutions that optimise clinical systems and maximise digital system capabilities, workflows and system/data integrations.

The postholder will need to demonstrate the ability to scale and redesign our services to meet the changing needs of clients and their market drivers. Working with the VP People, Culture and Compliance to lead the Consultancy team through the challenges and opportunities of company growth. This post will work closely with the VP Sales (UK), Chief Nurse Information Officer (UK), VP Digital Technology Services and VP Data Services to develop the clinical transformation go-to-market solutions and ensure collaboration across all business areas, ensuring seamless client delivery of services across the business portfolio.

Additionally, you will work with the VP of Sales (UK) and the VP of Marketing and Communications to ensure there is a pipeline of activity and seamless account management for Cloud21 clients. In this position you will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), reporting to the President. This is a critical function within the SLT, collaborating closely with other team members and our USA parent company.

You will expand our Consultancy function to meet the needs of our healthcare clients, developing the consultancy solutions and product offerings. In doing so, you will evidence benefits realisation for clients and continue to improve our net promoter score.

Core responsibilities

  • Accountable for the performance, profit and loss of Consultancy Services.
  • Responsible with the wider SLT for company EBITDA.
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of all Consultancy services. This includes the overseeing project management, resource allocation, quality of delivery, client satisfaction and end to end project execution. Ensures that Consultancy projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high-quality results.
  • Accountable for the operationalisation of the future business strategies, collaborating closely with the Chief Nurse Information Officer (UK), VP colleagues and Data Sciences team within the USA.
  • Accountable for ensuring that ‘best practice’ people management is undertaken within the business unit, and this is in line with company policy and practice. Developing the business unit culture such that the culture aligns to the company’s inclusive and learning culture, providing visible leadership and role modelling the company values and behaviours. Promoting matrix management and engagement across the business.
  • Accountable for adherence to the company business quality management system within the business unit and as an SLT member responsible for maintaining ISO standards and accreditations. Promoting best practice and the Company’s governance system.
  • Accountable for ensuring there is a Workforce Strategy. This is to include recruitment, talent spotting, learning and development. and an agreed delivery plan working with the VP Finance and VP People, Culture and Compliance. This includes employees and associates.
  • Responsible for working with the Chief Nurse Information Officer (UK) and SLT for the development of the Transforming Operations Strategy with specific accountability for the developing the business case.
  • Responsible for working with the VP of Sales and VP of Marketing and Communications, lead the ‘go to market’ proposition of the services aligning this within the wider business service portfolios. Supporting the sales and marketing strategy and plan.
  • Responsible for partnership management with identified partners.
  • Accountable for undertaking the role of SRO (Account Director) for specified strategic clients (house accounts) and representing the totality of the Cloud21 business and portfolio in the management of the client.
  • Collaborates closely with the VP of Sales to align delivery and strategic account management with client expectations and business objectives.
  • Responsible for ensuring the UK company’s digital adoption agenda is implemented within business units and is aligned to company operating model.
  • Ensures the adoption of relevant and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Lead on potential mergers and acquisition integration, when required.

Accountable for identifying and developing mitigation for Companywide and Business Unit risks. Accountable for resolving issues directly impacting individual business unit/directorate.

    Responsible for ensuring there is a workforce strategy and workforce plan for individual business unit/directorate. This to include talent acquisition and development, career pathways and people management.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous consultancy experience within the health and care services arena.
  • Senior managerial experience of planning, organising, developing, and directing strategic and operational digital and data services activities.
  • A collaborator, working as part of the wider team (Commercial Services, Consultancy Services, Data Migration, Support Services, and Marketing) as well as an excellent communicator.
  • Be able to call upon strategic thinking skills to craft successful sales pitches.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, demonstrating the ability to prioritise busy work agendas.
  • You will be highly analytical, to hone market and services product knowledge to ensure you are engaged in the right opportunities, in the right way, and at the right time.
  • Possesses a high level of intellectual curiosity and learning agility. A natural change agent with a combination of vision and execution skills; a technical leader with a hands-on mentality.
  • Strong understanding of architecture, discovery, design and delivery of the requirements for data migration and interoperability of Health Care systems.
  • Strong understanding of the wider and national data requirements for the NHS.
  • Experience of scaling and stabilising a business at speed.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience of developing and implementing managed services within the healthcare environment.
